GOP Candidate for House District 65 to Address Reagan Luncheon

GOP Candidate for House District 65 to Address Reagan Luncheon

BATON ROUGE — The Ronald Reagan Newsmaker Luncheon on Tuesday, Feb. 19 will hear from the candidate or candidates who have received the Republican endorsement for the upcoming Special Election for the Louisiana House from District 65.

Two candidates are vying for the post to replace former Rep. Clif Richardson.  Barry Ivey and Scott Wilson will appear before the East Baton Rouge Republican Parish Executive Committee on Feb. 14.  Either or both candidates could be endorsed.

The Reagan luncheon will be held at Cafe Americain on Jefferson Highway. The reception begins at 11:30 a.m., and the lunch at 12 noon.

Attendees will also hear from former Sheriff Greg Phares on current gun control legislation pending before Congress.

The meeting is open to registered Republicans, guests, and the media.
